Aloha Teams

The Aloha Mountain Cyclery Downhill Race Team was started along with the shop in order to support local racers as well as bring Aloha into the face of the race scene.  We started the team with Tom Stevens managing and racing Cat 2 50+. Samn Stevens also helps manage the team as well as races professionally. Our motto for the team is have fun racing bikes and in the results will come. We're all about carrying a good presence at all the races and having more fun than anyone out there!

The 2011 season was great for the team. We had Lucy Stevens pulling in the State Championship (again) in Jr. Women 4X and Downhill. She won her first downhill race by over 30 seconds! Tom Stevens held it down in the old guys (Cat 2 40+) class and was the first one to jump abaord a new Rocky Mountain Flatline for the DH rig. Sam completed his first full season racing Pro and managed to pull in multiple top 15 and top 10 finishes. Jake Branney brought strong contention in the Cat 2 15-18 class and was one of the biggest participators in the team. Dustin Belcher was able to get out and make a few races holding his own in the pro field despite a couple injuries throughout the season. We had a great year with support from Troy Lee Designs, Honey Stinger, 5.10, Leatt and Schwalbe tires.

2012 is shaping up to be an even better season with new things on the horizon. We are working on some very exciting things for the up coming year, including getting on Rocky Mountain Bikes!
